What can I expect of a trip?
~Pickup
*When you book a trip we will provide an approximate pickup date.  Usually we will know to an accuracy of a day or two what the pickup date will be.  As the pickup date nears we will call the       pickup person with a better estimate of the pickup date and time.  Weather, traffic conditions, and difficult to load horses can all have an impact on our schedule.  We will update the pickup       person if our timing needs to be adjusted.  On the day of the pickup the driver will call about one to two hours ahead to get any final directions that are needed and to provide a better               pickup time estimate.  If the pickup is before 6:00AM the driver will call the evening before to finalize arrangements.  It is very important that someone be available to answer the phone.             Please provide any backup phone numbers.
~Layover
*We stop at horse motels every night so that the horses and driver both get plenty of rest.  We have found that the horses do much better this way and arrive fresh and less stressed.
~Delivery
*When you book a trip we will provide an approximate delivery date.  Usually we will know to an accuracy of a day or two what the delivery date will be.  As the delivery date nears we will call       the delivery contact person with a better estimate of the delivery date and time.  We will update the delivery contact person if our timing needs to be adjusted.  On the day of delivery the           driver will call about one to two hours ahead to get any final directions that are needed and to provide a better delivery time estimate.  If the delivery is before 6:00AM the driver will call the       evening before to finalize arrangements.  It is very important that someone be available to answer the phone.  Please provide any backup phone numbers.  SOMEONE MUST BE                       AVAILABLE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY OF THE HORSE.  We will let the pickup contact person know that the delivery was completed.  Finally the remaining balance in CASH, MONEY                    ORDER, or CASHIER'S CHECK will be required PRIOR to unloading.

How do I get ready for a shipment?
~The following paperwork MUST be available at pickup:
*A current Negative Coggins (EIA).  A Coggins test is good for 6 months to a year.
*A current health certificate.  Health certificates are good for 30 days and must be valid through the time of delivery.  Montana has a # that must be on the health certificate to ENTER                 the state.  To reach the Agricultural Department call (406)444-2976, 24 hours/7 days of the week.  They will issue you a # to enter Montana.
*A brand inspection if the horse is coming from any of the following states:  AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY.
*All immunizations MUST be current.  Please inquire with your Vet.  Horses should be vaccinated no later than two weeks before transport.  Some horses can have a negative reaction               to vaccinations.  The two weeks allows time for the horse to recuperate and for the vaccinations to take affect.

Will my horse be insured?
~We carry Commercial Liability Insurance.  We as a third party cannot insure the horse.  The horses well being and safety is our number one concern.  It is the horse OWNERS FULL RESPONSIBILITY for insuring the horse if they desire.  Check out our LINKS for information on Equine Insurance.

How often does the driver stop to rest the horse?
~Our driver stops every 3-4 hours to inspect the horses and provide fresh water and feed.
~We stop at horse motels every night so that the horses and driver both get plenty of rest.  They usually come off the trailer for a period of 8 hours or more.  They are stalled while on                  layover.  The layover sites are all approved ranches and farms that cater to this business.  Strict requirements for health and safety have to be met.  We have found that the horses do             much better this way and arrive fresh and less stressed.

Can I ship tack or other items with my horse?
~A halter and lead rope are required to ship with the horse at no charge.
~Small items are a $25.00 additional charge, if space allows.
~Large items, such as a show trunk, are an additional $50.00, if space allows.
~Tack should be disclosed at the time of sending in the Transport contract.  If we have a very full truck it may not be possible to accommodate last minute additions.  It is the driver's                    decision as to whether to haul extra tack.

Can you accommodate special instructions for my horse?
~We do our best to accommodate special request.  You MUST write down special instructions and send them with your Transport Contract.  If your requirements include necessary dietary           items, please provide those to the driver at the time of pickup.  Necessary dietary items may be subject to additional shipping charges.

Should I wrap the horses legs or place on a blanket?
~We do not allow wraps or blankets on our trips for the horses safety and health.  Wraps have come undone and blankets fall off.  The horse will hurt itself or another horse kicking to                 shed the item.

What if my horse becomes ill on the trip?
~Should your horse become ill or injured, veterinarian services will be provided and the owner will be contacted.  All fees related to the vet care will be the responsibility of the owner.
